CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard Women's Basketball team will add another highly anticipated and talented class of three first-years to the program for the 2023-24 season, the Kathy Delaney-Smith Head Coach for Women's Basketball,
Carrie Moore, announced on Friday. The three first-years are Mary Hollenstein, Karlee White and Abigail Wright.
"This trio is our staff's first recruiting class, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome these three incredible young women into our Harvard women's basketball family," stated Moore. "They align with our core values, are all decorated players, and most importantly, even better people. Karlee brings necessary depth to the point guard position, Mary is a big versatile guard with range that aligns well with our style of play, and Abigail brings a unique combination of physicality and athleticism that will complement our current big group in a great way. We hope their presence within this program will be felt for four years and forever."
These first-years will be joined by 10 returning letterwinners including Ivy League First and Second Team members
Harmoni Turner and
Lola Mullaney. The class of 2027 will join a program that made history through the 2022-23 season with an overall record of 20-12, 9-5 Ivy as they advanced to the Ivy League Tournament Championship and the fourth round of the WNIT for the first time in Harvard history.
