CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Crimson sailing teams competed at four regattas this weekend in the Mrs. Hurst Bowl, the Eagle Invite, the Hoyt Trophy and the Hood Trophy. The top finish of the weekend was at the Hood Trophy, where the Crimson team finished first. At the Hoyt Trophy, Harvard finished second, at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl, Harvard finished seventh, and at the Eagle Invite, Harvard finished fourth.
Hood Trophy
At a regatta close to home hosted by Tufts University, the Crimson team finished first of 20 teams with a score of 114 points that included 40 points from division A and 74 from division B. In division A, the boat of
Mitchell Callahan and
Alexandra Dorofeev finished first with 40 points from 14 races. They won the first race of the day and did not drop out of first place from there, finishing first in four of the 14 races and top-three in eleven of the races. In the B division,
Robby Meek and Kathleen Downey finished second with 74 points, just four points off first place in their division. With the two divisions combined scores, Harvard won the regatta with 114 points, 82 points ahead of the second place team.
Mrs. Hurst Bowl
The Crimson sent members of the women's team to Brunswick, Maine where they raced in two divisions at the regatta hosted by Bowdoin. Harvard finished in seventh place with a score of 74 points. In the B division,
Cordelia Burn and
Emily Launderville were top competitors, finishing fourth with 24 points.
Hoyt Trophy
The Crimson team finished second on the waters of Providence, R.I. at a regatta hosted by Brown University. Harvard scored 151 points to beat out 16 of the 18 teams in competition. In division B,
Justin Callahan,
Kennedy Leehealey and
Aidan Pesce finished with 64 points for second place. They were consistently in the running for first or second through all 14 races in the division.
Eagle Invite
The Crimson team finished fourth of six teams at the Eagle Invite, hosted by Boston College. Harvard scored 355 points from three divisions. In diviion A, the boat of
Zoey Ziskind and Daniella Bregman had the highest finish of the day in second place with 41 points.

Four more regattas are lined up for the weekend of Sept. 30 to Oct. 1. The Crimson will compete at the Smith Trophy, the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship First Round, the Danmark Trophy and the BU Invitational.
