CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving is scheduled to make its final regular-season appearance at Blodgett Pool on Tuesday morning when it welcomes Brown to campus. The Crimson's Senior Meet is set to commence at 11 a.m. ET, with the showdown airing live on ESPN+.
What to Know
- Harvard (3-1; 3-0 Ivy League) continues its Ivy League slate on Tuesday having won all three of its conference dual meets. The Crimson, however, has not competed against an Ivy team since winning at Columbia on Nov. 17.
- Harvard returned to the pool last Tuesday at No. 16 Florida State and was edged by the Seminoles, 168-132. The Crimson won six events on the afternoon, including the 200 back, which marked Anthony Rincon's first competition of the 2023-24 campaign. Rincon posted a time of 1:47.30.
- Will Grant won the 100 back (48.68) and came in second in the 200 version of the event (1:47.56) at FSU. The senior also posted second-place finishes in the 200 IM (1:50.16) and the 200 medley relay (1:28.91), teaming with Rincon, Sonny Wang and Marcus Holmquist.
- Other victors at Florida State included Cole Kuster (1,000 free – 9:14.93), David Schmitt (200 fly – 1:48.76), Sonny Wang (50 free – 20.29) and Adam Wesson (1-meter diving – 333.75).
- The Crimson will head into its meet with Brown owning an all-time series lead of 88-2. Harvard has won 28 straight contests vs. the Bears, including a 168-130 decision last season in Providence, Rhode Island.
- The Crimson will play host to a Brown team that is 2-2 (2-2 Ivy), having defeated Yale, 199.50-100.50, on Dec. 2. The Bears will play host to Columbia on Saturday before heading north to Cambridge.
- Harvard will honor its Class of 2024 at Tuesday's meet. Crimson seniors that will be making their final regular-season appearance at Blodgett include David Abrahams, Noah Brune, Pierce Dietze, Luke Foster, Grant, Holmquist, Kuster, Simon Lamar, Nick Nocita and Alex Petty.
