CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving will compete for a second time this week when it faces Penn in Philadelphia Saturday afternoon. The action at Sheerr Pool is slated to begin at 2 p.m. ET.
What to Know
- The Crimson is coming off a Senior Day win over Brown this past Tuesday. Harvard won the first four events and never looked back en route to the 189.50-104.50 victory.
- Harvard finished in first place in 14 of 16 races, but exhibitioned the 400 free relay. The Crimson had four athletes win a pair of individual events. First-year Sonny Wang won the 50 free (20.36) and the 100 fly (47.94). Sophomore David Greeley was victorious in the 100 free (45.20) and 200 free (1:38.61). Junior Adam Wesson claimed both diving events (1M – 361.73, 3M – 375.38). And finally, senior Cole Kuster captured the 500 free (4:29.70) and 1,000 free (9:15.32).
- In his second meet of the season, Anthony Rincon earned an NCAA B-cut time in the 100 back. The junior won the race with a time of 47.32, coming in just under the B-cut standard of 47.47.
- With the victory over Brown, Harvard improved to 4-1 on the season and 4-0 in the Ivy League. The Quakers, meanwhile, are 4-2 overall and 4-2 against Ivy competition. Penn will be at West Chester on Friday night before welcoming the Crimson.
- Harvard goes into its head-to-head with Penn owning a 77-2 all-time series lead. The Crimson has won 46 consecutive dual meets vs. the Quakers.
