BOSTON, Mass. – At day two of the Riverhawk Invitational and the John Thomas Terrier Classic, Harvard track & field finished the competitions on a high note, as student-athletes earned top-10 finishes, posted new personal-bests, and set new school records.

In just his fourth collegiate meet at the Riverhawk Invitational, first-year
Tito Alofe broke the program high jump record for a second time this season. Alofe cleared 2.22m at the TRACK at new balance, besting his 2.20m result at the HBCU/Ivy Challenge. The 2.22m (7'3.25") result from the Peachtree, Ga. native is currently tied for third in the country.

At the John Thomas Terrier Classic, women's track student-athletes took center stage at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center.
Fabiola Belibi logged a new personal-best in the 60 hurdles, while
Victoria Bossong ran to a top-10 finish in the 800m with a personal record time of 2:04.72.

Along with the new PR's from Belibi and Bossong,
Sophia Gorriaran produced a program top-10 performance in the 500m run with a time of 1:11.99. The Providence, R.I. native was the top collegiate runner in the event as her time ranks third in school history, finishing in second place.

JOHN THOMAS TERRIER CLASSIC HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:
- Belibi kicked it off for the Crimson in the 60 hurdles, qualifying for the finals with a preliminary time of 8.76.
- In the 800m, Bossong captured a top-10 finish among a highly competitive field. Racing in the second heat, Bossong finished in ninth place overall with a personal-best time of 2:04.72.
- The finals of the 60 hurdles saw Belibi take second place in a close race, hitting a new personal record of 8.53.
- For the second time this year, Gorriaran competed at Boston University's Track & Tennis center, racing in the 500m.
- The first-year middle distance runner finished the race in 1:11.99, finishing in second with a time that sits in third in the school record book.
- The two 200m dash saw junior Egbe Ndip-Agbor earn ninth place, completing the sprint in 24.58.
- Fellow classmate Ellaney Matarese finished in 10th in the 1000m run with a time of 2:46.30.
RIVERHAWK INVITATIONAL HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:
- Alofe continues to make history in his young Crimson career. Competing at the TRACK at new balance in the high jump for a third time this year, the first-year jumper cleared the bar at 2.22m, setting a new school record.
- The record-breaking attempt is tied for third in the NCAA, as Alofe joins Grand Valley State's Jonathan Rankins-James as the only student-athletes in the country to hit 2.22m in the high jump.
- Junior Kenneth Ikeji recorded his second appearance of the season in the weight throw, earning first place with a throw of 21.74m.
- After winning the 400m dash at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, senior Gregory Lapit took eighth in the 200m dash, running to a time of 21.74.

The Crimson return to Gordon Indoor Track on Friday, Feb. 2, hosting the Crimson Elite & Multi. The event will stream live on ESPN+. The next day, Harvard student-athletes head back to Boston Univeristy's Track & Tennis Center for the Scarlet & White Invite.
