CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Track and Field completed its final day of competition at the UMass Ken O'Brien Pre-Competition Invitational and the Penn Relays, earning multiple podium finishes.
The Crimson found podium success at UMass, highlighted by a first-place finish by Alice Mihas and multiple top-three performances in the hammer and discus.
Harvard saw strong performances at the Penn Relays, with multiple athletes earning top-10 finishes against a competitive national field.
KEN O'BRIEN PRE-COMPETITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior Alice Mihas set a new personal record and took first place in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.79m (183'). She successfully defended her title after winning the event at the same competition last year.
- First-year Daniel Ye joined Mihas on the podium, placing second in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 58.53m (192').
- Senior Michaela Denson held down discus, placing third with a throw of 44.44m (145'10").
PENN RELAYS HIGHLIGHTS
- First-year Nadjela Wepiwé placed sixth in the discus with a throw of 51.57m (169'2") on her final attempt. This marked Wepiwé's second-highest collegiate finish, following her second-place result at the Kirk Baptiste Invitational in March.
- Sophomore Tyler Glover finished eighth in the shot put with a mark of 15.71m (51'6.5") on her second attempt and placed tenth in the discus with a throw of 47.32m (155'3").
