CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – It was yet another fantastic year for Harvard track & field, as record-breaking and trailblazing performances across the country from the Crimson defined the 2025-26 track & field season.
Over the course of the entirety of the 2025-26 indoor track & field season, Harvard left its mark, as the Crimson broke six school records and set 33 program all-time top 10 marks. Harvard embarked for the Big Apple for the 2026 iteration of the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Championships, as both teams impressed with third place showings at the Armory.
Junior
Sophia Gorriaran earned Most Outstanding Female Track Athlete after sweeping the 800m and mile at indoor Heps, while junior
Charlie Ortmans was named the Most Outstanding Men's Track Athlete after dramatic wins in the 3000m and the 5000m.
History arrived for Harvard at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, as junior
Tito Alofe became the program's first ever national champion in the men's indoor high jump by clearing a school record height of 7'4.5". Along with Alofe, Gorriaran also earned All-America First Team honors in the women's 800m.
As Harvard transitioned into the 2026 outdoor, the Crimson continued to rise to the occasion, setting an additional 6 school records and 43 top 10 marks.
The postseason began for Harvard in the Garden State at the 2026 Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championships, as the Crimson once again shined amongst its Ivy League peers, as the men's team finished in second place while the women's team took third place. Sophomore
Ella Cooper enjoyed a phenomenal weekend at Heps, earning Most Outstanding Female Track Athlete honors after wins in the 200m and 4x100m relay.
A total of 29 Crimson secured spots at the 2026 NCAA East First Round, as eight Crimson would punch their tickets to the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field. Harvard excelled on the national stage, as three Crimson earned All-America honors.
With a plethora of returners coming back to campus next season, the 2025-26 track & field season laid the foundation for a highly anticipated 2026-27 season for the Harvard Crimson.
