CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football's
Scott Woods II has been named the Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 12, the conference office announced today.
A senior from Lorton, Virginia, Woods finished with three punt returns for 74 yards in the Crimson's 38-20 road win at Cornell last Friday. His punt-return yardage marked a personal best and was the most by any player in the game. Included in his 74 yards was a 45-yard return, which was a career long.
On offense, Woods II finished with a career-high 10 catches for 76 yards, giving him 150 all-purpose yards on the night.
Woods II and his Crimson teammates return to the gridiron on Saturday to play host to Holy Cross. Game time at Harvard Stadium is slated for noon ET, with ESPN+ carrying the non-conference game live.
