CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University men's soccer senior center back Jan Riecke has gained Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honors following the Crimson's shutout of Yale, the Ivy League conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
Riecke played all 180 minutes last week, including playing the full 90 minutes in Harvard's 1-0 shutout win on the road at Yale. On both of Harvard's team saves against the Bulldogs, Riecke distinguished himself as the Harvard player to keep the ball from entering the goal. Harvard posted its second clean sheet as a team in 2024.
 
Riecke has played all 900 minutes on the season and has started all 60 of the Crimson's games since the start of the 2021 season.
