Men’s Water Polo’s Rozolis-Hill Named to Cutino Award Watch List

IRVINE, Calif. – Harvard Men's Water Polo junior James Rozolis-Hill has been named to the 2024 Cutino Award Watch, the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC), USA Water Polo and The Olympic Club announced today.

One of 20 athletes on the list, Rozolis-Hill is up for the Peter J. Cutino Award, which is named for the late hall-of-fame coach and recognizes the best player in men's and women's college water polo. This marks the third straight season he has appeared on the prestigious list, which was created in 2022, to help promote the college game, awareness of the honor and the excellent play of athletes around the country.

A native of Huntington Beach, Rozolis-Hill made an immediate impact on the program the moment the utility stepped foot on campus. As a first-year in 2022, Rozolis-Hill led the Crimson with 123 goals and followed it with another 109 as a sophomore last season. Two games ago, Rozolis-Hill established a new program record with his 283rd career goal when he scored his second of seven goals in an 18-10 win over Brown.

Rozolis-Hill, a two-time All-American, will look to add to his totals this weekend when the Crimson play host to the Harvard Invitational. The 12th-ranked Crimson is slated to face Chapman (9 a.m.) and No. 14 San Jose State (3 p.m.) at Blodgett Pool on Saturday before welcoming Bucknell (12 p.m.) and Wagner (5 p.m.) to campus on Sunday. ESPN+ will have live coverage of the entire tournament.
