NEW ORLEANS, La. – After a pair of top-25 finishes at Pre-Nationals in Madison, Wisconsin last weekend, both Harvard cross country squads earned recognition from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association in the national coaches poll and the northeast regional rankings.
The men's team jumped up five spots in the USTFCCCA's National Coaches Poll, as the Crimson check in at No. 15 after finishing in 10
th at Pre-Nationals. The Crimson is the highest ranked Ivy League program in the USTFCCCA's National Coaches Poll, joined in the top-25 by Princeton (No. 22). In the Northeast Regional Rankings, the hold the No. 2 spot, joined in the top-four by Syracuse (No. 1), Iona (No. 3) and Ivy League rival Cornell (No. 4).
After posting a 22
nd place team finish at Pre-Nationals, the women received votes in the USTFCCCA's National Coaches Poll, the only Ivy League team to do so. In the Northeast Regional Rankings, the women held steady at No. 4, trailing only Boston College (No. 3), Syracuse (No. 2) and Providence (No. 1).

Graham Blanks started his national title defense last weekend with a strong showing at Pre-Nationals, taking second place in the 8k race at Zimmer Championship Course.
The Crimson begin its postseason journey on Saturday, Nov. 2, traveling to Princeton, New Jersey for the 2024 Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championships.
