CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard Varsity Club (HVC) honored its Hall of Fame Class of 2024, in two celebratory occasions occurring on Oct. 19 and Oct. 25. In total, six varsity athletes joined the over 600 Harvard student-athletes already enshrined.
The HVC Hall of Fame induction happens annually in October. This year's inductions were held at the Harvard Club of Boston and Lee Family Hall of History, respectively. They were emceed by current Hall of Famers Larry Cetrulo '71 (fencing) and Matt Birk '98 (football). The full Hall of Fame Class of 2024 included Charles Altchek '07 (soccer), Susanna Lingman Courier '05 (tennis), Tim Hagamen (fencing) and three football standouts --Michael Berg '07, Clifton Dawson '07 and Ryan Fitzpatrick '05.
To be eligible for the HVC Hall of Fame, an athlete must have graduated from the College at least 15 years prior and "achieved greatness for multiple years while competing for the Crimson."
