CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing recorded a pair of second-place performances this past weekend – one at the Open Atlantic Coast Championships – Round 1 and the other at the Hewitt Trophy. The Crimson has now finished in the upper half of the team standings in 11 of 15 scoring regattas this fall.

Harvard's A- and B-boats both finished in second place in its respective divisions en route to a team runner-up performance.
Justin Callahan and
Kennedy Leehealey competed in the A-Division and opened with seven consecutive top-4 finishes, including a pair of victories in Race 5 and 6. The duo went 13-6-10 in the next three races, but finished strong with a 7-1-5 to finish with a Crimson-best score of 61.
Mitchell Callahan and
Alexandra Dorofeev, meanwhile, came in the top-7 in seven of the first eight races, winning Race 8, and closed by posting a 10-13-4-4-5 to notch a two-day total of 73. Harvard's final score of 134 was two points shy of the winner, Tulane, which finished with a 132.

Harrison Strom and
Katherine Shin placed first amongst the field after winning Race 2, 3, 6, 8 and 9, and never finished below sixth place en route to a final score of 21.
Kate Danielson and
Christina Chen, meanwhile, was the runner-up in Division B after logging eight top-5 efforts, with victories coming in Race 2 and 6. The duo, which never finished lower than eighth place, recorded a two-day-event total of 33. Harvard's overall score of 54 trailed only Boston College and its 40.
