CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – For the 16
th straight year, both Harvard fencing teams won the Beanpot, as the Crimson earned wins against Boston College, Brandeis, and MIT at the Margot Connell Recreation Center on the campus of Boston College.
The Crimson's evening in Chestnut Hill started on a high note, as both Harvard teams defeated Boston College. Both women's saber and women's epee posted 6-3 records against the tournament hosts on the way to a 15-12 team win, as junior

Lauren Scruggs went undefeated against the Eagles. A native of Queens, N.Y., Scruggs did not surrender a single touch against Boston College.
On the men's side, an impressive outing from men's foil lifted Harvard to a 17-10 win against Boston College. Paced by 3-0 records from first-year
Andrew Chen and sophomore
Daniel Zhang, men's foil went 8-1 against Boston College, as a strong rally from men's saber allowed the Crimson to secure the victory against the Eagles in men's competition.
In the matches against Brandeis, Harvard continued to find success, as both teams won big against the Judges. The women secured a 21-6 win against Brandeis, their largest of the season, while the men won 20-7, matching its largest win in the early stages of the campaign.
Women's epee showed off its incredible dept against Brandeis, as five different Crimson fencers combined to post an 8-1 mark against the Judges. On the women's foil strip, Scruggs and junior
Eileen Ye swept the competition, as the duo combined for a 6-0 record. Kim continued her impressive night with three more wins against Brandeis.
The men's match saw the men's foil trio dominate the Judges. Zhang, Chen and senior
Justin Liu all went undefeated, as men's foil improved to 17-1 on the night. Sophomore
Henry Lawson led the way for men's epee against Brandeis, as the All-American went a perfect 3-0 on the strip. First-Year
Colin Heathcock also earned three major wins against the Judges.
The Crimson wrapped the night with a pair of victories against MIT, sending the Beanpot trophies back to Cambridge. The men earned a 21-6 win against the Engineers, while women defeated MIT, 20-7.
Men's foil capped a stellar night in Chestnut Hill with another outstanding performance on the strip, posting an 8-1 record against MIT, ending the Beanpot with a 25-2 record as a weapon group.

Connor Liang stepped up with an impressive performance, going undefeated against MIT. After fencing excellently against Brandeis, Lawson did it again against MIT, posting another 3-0 performance.
The women were paced by the women's epee group against MIT, as the weapon group swept the Engineers, as all epee fencers on the women's roster earned at least one win against MIT. Scruggs ended the night undefeated in foil competition, as first-year
Madison Duckett ended the Beanpot on a high note, going 3-0 against MIT.
