CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football landed four players on the 2024 All-New England Team, it was announced on Sunday by the New England Football Writers Association. The 38-player squad features the best players from FBS and FCS schools in New England.
Â
Representing the Crimson were senior punt return specialist
Scott Woods II, and juniors
Cooper Barkate (WR),
Ty Bartrum (DB) and
Jaden Craig (QB). The four Harvard honorees were the most among Massachusetts schools and tied for the most overall along with NCAA FCS Championship participants New Hampshire and Rhode Island, and Dartmouth.
Â
The regional accolades come a week after the Ivy League revealed that Barkate, Bartrum and Woods II were first-team picks, with Craig being a second-team choice.
Â
Harvard finished its season with an 8-2 record (5-2 Ivy) and was the first team to clinch at least a share of the 2024 conference title before Dartmouth and Columbia earned a piece of the crown. The Crimson, which posted an 8-win campaign for the third time in the last four years, ended the regular season ranked No. 25 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll after rising to as high as No. 17. Harvard now has 19 Ivy League titles to its credit after winning back-to-back championships.
