Football Completes Spring with Annual Scrimmage

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football closed out its spring practice slate today, playing host to its annual spring contest under clear skies and in windy conditions.

Dante Torres opened the scoring on his second drive by hitting Logan Reaska at the 26-yard line. The tight end did the rest, adding 73 yards to his reception and found paydirt to complete the 99-yard touchdown. Last season, Reaska caught 10 balls for 114 yards and two TDs.

Xaden Benson, who shared the team lead in interceptions this past season, picked off a pass early in the second quarter and returned it 14 yards. The rising junior had two interceptions in 2025, as did returners Jack Donahoe and Damien Henderson.

All-Ivy League First-Team kicker Kieran Corr nailed a 47-yard field on his first try of the morning. The rising junior knocked in a school-record 53-yarder as time expired vs. Penn last season to clinch for Harvard at least a share of its third straight Ivy title.

Another first-team all-Ivy selection in 2025, Sean Line, picked off a pass late in the second period. The linebacker was on his way to completing a pick-6, but the play was called mid-return as a result of scrimmage rules. Line led the team in tackles last season, racking up 94 to go with 4.0 tackles for loss and an interception.

Running back Cole Allen notched Harvard's second touchdown of the game, scampering up the middle 56 yards for the score in the fourth quarter. Backfield teammate Maddux Reid later added another TD when he rushed for one yard into the endzone.

As a team, the Crimson defense shined, totaling five sacks and two interceptions. On the other side of the ball, Harvard had four players rush at least once and had 13 different players catch a pass. The Crimson also rotated four quarterbacks throughout the day.

Harvard begins its 2026 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 19, when it plays at New Hampshire and will make its home debut on Oct. 3, when it welcomes Colgate to campus. Season tickets are $99 for the upcoming season and are on sale at GoCrimson.com.
