CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing posted a second consecutive strong weekend, winning the Wood Trophy Team Race and finishing in fourth place at the Bavier Trophy Team Race. The Crimson has now won a pair of regattas in the first two weeks of its spring campaign.

Harvard was dominant over the course of two days on the Charles River, posting a 16-1 record to finish first among a field of eight teams (Brown, Georgetown, Rhode Island, MIT, Roger Williams, Tufts, Fordham). Brown was its closest competitor with a 14-3 mark. After falling to the Bears in Round 1 (1-4-6), Harvard rattled off six consecutive wins, spring-boarding it to a 7-0 record in the second round, followed by a 3-0 performance in Gold Round 3 (Brown, MIT, Roger Williams). The Crimson split eight matchups against a diverse field that included Stanford (8-1), U.S. Coast Guard (7-2), College of Charleston (5-4), Jacksonville (3-6), NC State (2-6) and Miami (Fla.) (1-7).

Margo Silliman served as crew. Together, Harvard picked up victories over Jacksonville and Miami in Round 1, and finished its weekend with a 1-2-3 performance over the Hurricanes before going 1-2-5 against the Wolfpack.
