Chris Snopek in game two, but Harvard University baseball dropped a doubleheader to Western Carolina University, 4-2 and 19-12, on Saturday afternoon at Hennon Stadium.

Opening its final series of its spring break trip with the first two games of a three-game set, the Crimson (2-10) held an early 2-0 lead in game one and claimed late leads of 10-5 and 12-9 in game two before the host Catamounts (8-9) came back to take both contests. Saturday became a doubleheader after Friday's original series opener was postponed one day due to weather.

In game two, Snopek tallied four RBIs and three hits alongside his two home runs. Junior Will Lybrook went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a home run while junior
George Cooper finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a homer. Senior

- The Catamounts moved ahead 4-2 with four runs in the bottom of the third including a three-run home run.
- The Crimson's pitching staff did not permit a run over the duration of the game with Matson tossing scoreless frames across the fourth, fifth, and sixth before Abler kept the hosts off the board in the seventh and eighth.

How It Happened
- The Crimson started the scoring in game two as Berger hit an RBI single to give the visitors a 1-0 lead in the top of the first after both Shulman and Rounds reached earlier in the frame with singles of their own.
- Western Carolina knotted the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the first with a solo home run.
- Harvard re-gained a 2-1 edge in the top of the second as Snopek launched a solo homer to left field for his second homer of the year.
- The Catamounts took their first lead behind a pair of runs in the last of the second, moving ahead 3-2.
- Snopek put the Crimson back in front, 5-3, with a three-run home run – his second homer of the game – to left field in the top of the third.
- WCU pulled within 5-4 with a run in the last of the third and tied it at 5-5 with a run in the bottom of the fourth.
- Cooper pushed the visitors back in front with a two-run home run to left field in the top of the fifth, making the margin 7-5.
- Lybrook launched the Crimson's fourth homer of the game in the top of the sixth, sending a three-run shot over the wall in left field to extend the advantage to 10-5.
- The hosts trimmed their deficit to 10-9 with four runs in the bottom of the seventh, including a three-run home run.
