Bossong Breaks School Indoor 400m Record at ECAC/IC4A Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – At the 2024 ECAC/IC4A Championships, hosted at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center, Harvard track & field junior Victoria Bossong set a new school record in the 400m dash with a time of 52.72, surpassing the former program record set by All-American Meredith Rainey '90 at the 1990 Heptagonal Indoor Track & Field Championships (52.96).

The 400m record caps off a historic indoor season for the Cumberland Foreside, Me. native. In front of the home crowd at Gordon Indoor Track, Bossong took home two Ivy League event titles at last weekend's Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track & Field Championships. In the 500m, Bossong won the Ivy League championship, running the second-fastest time in NCAA history and a new Ivy League record (1:08.53). Joined by her teammates Sophia Gorriaran, Chloe Fair, and Maia Ramsden, Bossong pushed the Crimson to first place in the women's distance medley relay.

Five Harvard student-athletes travel to the TRACK at New Balance from Thursday, Mar. 7 – Saturday, Mar. 9, looking to capture hardware at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
