Williams of Men’s Tennis Enters ITA Singles Top-10

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Cooper Williams of No. 11 Harvard men's tennis broke into the top-10 of the most recent ITA Men's Division I Singles Rankings, checking in for a new career-high at No. 9.

Coming into his first season with the Crimson, Williams was ranked No. 7 in the ITA Division I Freshman/Newcomer Rankings and has consistently proven his position as one of college's best throughout 2023-24.  In every ranking since the beginning of dual play, Williams has been ranked inside the top-13 and has consistently been the highest ranked first-year.

The New York City, NY native is currently 12-6 in 2023-24 and 6-3 in dual action while playing all of his matches at the No. 1 position for the Crimson.  Of his six wins in dual competition, five have come against ranked opponents, most recently downing the No. 28 nationally ranked player in Govind Nanda (UCLA) in convincing straight set fashion.

Not only delivering in singles play for the Crimson, Williams and duos partner, Daniel Milavsky, checked in at No. 15 in the doubles rankings this week and have reached as high as No. 4 throughout the year.
