CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Sailing opened its 2024 spring campaign this past weekend, with the top-ranked coed squad winning the Sharpe Trophy Team Race and the No. 7 women's program placing fifth at its Women's Team Race Invitational.

The Crimson posted a 12-2 record, tying for the best record with Yale. Harvard, however, received the top nod based points when the teams met. The Crimson fell to the Bulldogs, 2-3-6, in Round 1, but rebounded in Round 2, 1-2-5, for a 19-23 point advantage. In other races, Harvard swept Brown, MIT, Roger Williams and Rhode Island, and split a pair of match-ups with Yale and Boston College. The Crimson's lineup included skippers

Women's Team Race Invitational | Cambridge, Mass.
Harvard finished with a 4-3 record after competing on Sunday only after wind-less conditions thwarted racing on the Charles River on Saturday. The Crimson logged victories over MIT, Tufts, Rhode Island and Yale, but fell to Boston College, Brown and Dartmouth. Harvard and the Big Green finished with identical records, but Dartmouth finished in third based on head-to-head results (3-4-6). Competing for the Crimson in its opener were
