What to Know

  • The Crimson is coming off a season-opening weekend that featured a first-place showing at the Sharpe Trophy Team Race by the top-ranked coed squad and a fifth-place performance by the No. 7 women's team at Harvard's Women's Team Race Invitational.
  • At the Sharpe Trophy in Providence, Rhode Island, the Crimson finished with a 12-2 record, which was tied for the best effort along with Yale. Harvard, however, finished atop the team standings as a result of its head-to-head points (19-23) vs. the Bulldogs.
  • A long wind delay on Saturday thwarted any chance of getting on the water at the Women's Team Race Invitational. Conditions improved on Sunday, allowing teams to compete on the Charles River. The Crimson went 4-3, tying for third with Dartmouth, but the Big Green took third place based on the head-to-head matchup (3-4-6).
  • On Wednesday, Harvard was named the NEISA Open Team of the Week for its performance at the Sharpe Trophy. Lachlain McGranahan, Alexandra Dorofeev, Justin Callahan, Mitchell Callahan, Kennedy Leehealey, Aidan Pesce and Robby Meek helped the Crimson finish in first at the event, which included a 7-0 mark in Round 2.
  • The Crimson is making its first appearance at the Bavier Trophy Team Race since 2022, when it finished as the runner-up in a field of 10 teams. Harvard went 14-4 over two days and came in second place to Stanford (16-2).
  • Harvard will look to capture the Wood Trophy for a second straight season. In 2023, the Crimson finished first among 10 teams after going 15-0 with four 1-2-3 performances.

Up Next

Harvard will travel to Annapolis, Maryland, for the Graham Hall Trophy Team Race. The regatta is slated for March 16-17.
