STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior
Elsie Halvorsen placed 21
st in the women's slalom to close out alpine competition in night racing at Howelsen Hill on Friday in the second and final day of alpine action.
Competing on the third day of the NCAA Skiing Championships and concluding her debut at NCAAs, Halvorsen came in eighth among skiers representing the East region. Halvorsen finished 23
rd in run one (44.12) and 18
th in run two (43.53), totaling a 1:27.65 and tallying 10.0 NCAA team points.
On Wednesday, Halvorsen opened the championships with a 25
th-place finish in the giant slalom, placing fifth among U.S. skiers and eighth among skiers representing the East region.

Rémi Drolet – who placed 16
th in Thursday's men's 7.5k freestyle skate – will continue to represent the Crimson in men's nordic competition.
Harvard Highlights: Alpine Day 2 (Friday)
- Senior Elsie Halvorsen placed 21st in the women's slalom, coming in eighth among skiers representing the East region. Halvorsen finished 23rd in run one (44.12) and 18th in run two (43.53), totaling a 1:27.65 and tallying 10.0 NCAA team points.
- Halvorsen notched her second top-30 finish of the weekend and 13th top-30 effort of the season after registering 11 top-30 showings during the 2024 EISA season.
Harvard Highlights: Nordic Day 1 (Thursday)
- Senior Rémi Drolet took 16th place in the men's 7.5k freestyle skate behind a time of 20:22.3, collecting 15.0 NCAA team points. Drolet placed fourth among skiers representing the East region. He clocked a 6:22.3 at the 2.5k mark and 13:24.0 at the 5k mark.
- In 2023, Drolet placed seventh in the men's 10k freestyle and won the men's 20k classic in his first time competing at NCAAs. Drolet also qualified for the championships in 2020 but did not compete.
Harvard Highlights: Alpine Day 1 (Wednesday)
- Senior Elsie Halvorsen placed 25th in the women's giant slalom in her NCAA debut, coming in fifth among U.S. skiers and eighth among skiers representing the East region. Halvorsen totaled a 1:59.07, finishing 26th in run one with a 1:02.51 and then placing 25th in run two with a 56.56. She collected six NCAA team points with her placement.
- Halvorsen posted her 12th top-30 finish of the year after registering 11 top-30 efforts during the 2024 EISA season.
