CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After seeing success in its regular season schedule, Harvard women's golf is now set to compete in the Ivy League Championships this weekend where it will look to claim the Ivy Crown and qualify for the NCAA Tournament. The Crimson recently completed its 2024 Spring schedule that saw the program finish inside the top-three in two of its three competitions.
The Crimson will be on the hunt for its ninth Ivy League title in program history and its first since the 2019 season when the team tees off on Friday morning.

Tournament History
Harvard women's golf has won the Ivy League Championship eight times in its 30-year program history which stands as the most in the Ivy League. The Crimson is seeking its first team title since the 2019 season. The program finished in second-place a season ago, just four shots back of the defending champions, the Penn Quakers.
Isabella Gomez will be defending her individual championship this weekend after she captured medalist honors at the 2023 tournament, earning an invitation to the NCAA Regional tournament.
Individual History at the Ivy League Championships
Meiyi Yan and Gomez are the only two student-athletes with two years of experience at the Ivy League Tournament (due to the 2020 and 2021 tournament cancellations). Both Harvard seniors have seen success at the tournaments, highlighted by Gomez's Individual title a year ago. Gomez also finished T16 at the 2022 tournament. Yan posted finishes of T10 and T18 at the 2022 and 2023 tournaments, respectively.
Bridget Ma saw success at last year's tournament, finished T7 with a score of 14-over-par.

Charissa Shang both tied for 22
nd in their first Ivy League Tournament appearances in 2023.
Coming in Hot
The Crimson caught its stride at the end of the 2024 Spring season, posting first and second place finishes, respectively, in its last two tournaments of the season.
Bridget Ma powered the Crimson's team victory at the Lady Bison Classic with a second-place finish after shooting an even-par 216.
Harvard followed up its showing with a second-place finish at the 36-hole Dolores Black Falcon Invitational.
Charissa Shang impressed at the tournament, finishing in second place with a two-under 142.
NCAA Tournament Qualification
The winning team at the tournament will receive the league's automatic bid to an NCAA Regional site, where it will need to play its way into the National Championship tournament. Additionally, medalists not on the winning team will advance to an NCAA Regional as individual qualifiers.
