CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University Sailing stands in fourth place in the 2024 Intercollegiate Sailing Association Open Fleet Race National Championship Semifinals in the Eastern side of the bracket on Friday at the Harvard Sailing Center on the Charles River.
With 138 points, the fourth-place Crimson trails only first-place Boston College (131), second-place Stanford (134) and third-place Dartmouth (136) following 12 rotations in the Eastern semifinal.
The Crimson's A division entry tallied 83 points over the 12 races, posting five top-three finishes, including placing first in the fifth and 11
th races. Harvard stands in fifth place in the division.
Lachlain McGranahan (races 1-4) and
Mitchell Callahan (5-12) represented Harvard as skippers in the division while
Marbella Marlo (1-3, 5-8),
Mitchell Callahan (4),
Aidan Pesce (9-10),
Alexandra Dorofeev (11-12), and
Kennedy Leehealey (1-2, 7-12) competed as crew.
Harvard's B division entry registered 55 points, including notching five top-three finishes with victories in the fourth, eighth, and ninth rotations. The Crimson sits in third place in the division.
Justin Callahan (races 1-6) and
Robby Meek (7-12) represented Harvard as skippers in the division while
Kennedy Leehealey (1-2, 7-12) and
Aidan Pesce (3-6) competed as crew.
On the Western side of the bracket in competition out of the MIT Sailing Pavilion, first-place Brown (119 points) leads second-place Yale (120), third-place Roger Williams (137), and fourth-place U.S. Coast Guard (145) among the top four.
