CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving's
Anthony Rincon has been named to the Colombian Olympic Team. The rising senior will make the trip to Paris, France, and compete in the 100-meter backstroke.
A 2024-25 team co-captain, Rincon punched his ticket to the Olympic Games after posting a time of 54.81 last week.
The Elizabeth, New Jersey, native is the second Crimson men's swimming and diving athlete in as many Olympic Games to appear on the world stage, following in the footsteps of
Umitcan Gures, who appeared at the 2020 Tokyo Games. Gures represented Turkey and competed in the 100 fly.
Rincon will begin his Olympic journey on Sunday, July 28, with the heats of the 100-meter backstroke, which begin at 11 a.m. in Paris (5 a.m. ET).
