EUGENE, Ore. – For the second time in her storied career, former Crimson star
Gabby Thomas '19 will represent the United States at the Olympics, as the Northampton, Massachusetts native punched her ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics in the women's 200m.
At Hayward Field, Thomas orchestrated an excellent performance in the women's 200m final at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Heading into the turn, Thomas exploded into the lead, as she held off the pack down the straight to take first place in the 200m at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for the second time in career with a time of 21.81. In the 200m semifinals, Thomas posted a time of 21.78, the fastest time in the world this season.
During her time at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Thomas excelled, winning bronze in the 200m and silver as a member of Team USA's women's 4x100m relay team. Over course of her three-year Crimson career, Thomas was a seven-time All-American, as she won the 200m national title at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships.
Along with Thomas, junior
Chloe Fair competed in the women's 400m hurdles semifinals, as she took ninth place in the second heat. At the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships, Fair earned second team All-America honors in the event.
