CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University skiing will introduce eight first-years to the program in 2024-25 as part of the Class of 2028,
Cate Brams, the Paul J. Finnegan Family Head Coach for Harvard Nordic Skiing, and
Scott MacPherson, The Peter H. Carter '69 Head Coach for Harvard Alpine Skiing, announced on Thursday.
The Crimson's Class of 2028 includes four skiers on the nordic side and four skiers for the alpine team. The group includes student-athletes from seven different states from across the U.S., including Massachusetts, New York, Minnesota, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Alaska, as well as one Canadian province – Ontario.
Harvard's nordic newcomers include Bennett Hutchison (Lander, Wyo.), Edwin Ryerson (Aspen, Colo.), Elias Soulé (Anchorage, Alaska), and Hanna Wilsey (St. Louis Park, Minn.) while the program's newcomers on the alpine side include Duncan Armstrong (Toronto, Ontario) Lucas Brumm (New York, N.Y.), Emma Lenoël Quang (Somerville, Mass.), and Skylar Sheppard (Park City, Utah).
The group joins a Harvard program that qualified skiers on both the alpine and nordic sides for the NCAA Championships in each of the last four competitive seasons.
