PARIS – Harvard track & field alumna
Gabby Thomas '19 enjoyed even more success at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as the 2018 NCAA national champion in the indoor 200m won gold with Team USA in the women's 4x100m relay final. The victory in Paris marks the United States' first gold in the women's 4x100m relay since 2016.
Thomas cemented her legacy as one of the great talents in American track & field at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as she is the first American sprinter since Allyson Felix in 2012 to win gold in the 200m and the 4x100m at the same Olympic Games.
Thomas now has four medals over two appearances at the Olympics, a gold and bronze in the 200m, and a gold medal and silver medal in the 4x100m relay. A native of Northampton, Massachusetts, Thomas is the first female student-athlete in program history to win multiple gold medals at the Olympics.
Racing in lane five with the top seed time, the United States crossed the finish line in first place with a time of 41.78, its fastest time this season. American teammates Melissa Jefferson, Terry Twanisha, and Sha'Carri Richardson joined Thomas atop the podium in Paris.
