CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's rugby plays Quinnipiac under the lights at Mignone Field on Friday, Sept. 6, at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Crimson dominated in Week 1 of the fall season, defeating Mount Saint Mary's 106-0 at home. Twelve different student-athletes found the try zone on Saturday, Aug. 31.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Saturday's win marks the eighth consecutive season opener win for the Crimson.
- Junior Lennox London and sophomore Courtney Taylor both scored hat tricks in Week 1. This is Taylor's first time doing so for the Crimson.
- Junior Olyvia Snyder and senior captain Carly Lehman each added two tries as well.
- Nafanua Malietoa Fitisemanu made her long-awaited return to the field after not playing collegiate rugby since the 2021-22 season. She scored a try in the first half of Saturday's game.
- Harvard leads the all-time series in 15s over Quinnipiac, 9-3.
- The Crimson have won the last three matchups against the Bobcats. In the last meeting, Harvard won 55-14 to open the 2023 season.
- First-years Josephine Mignone and Dana Greer both reached the try zone for the first time in their collegiate careers last weekend.
