Moore Named to the 2025 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Midseason Watch List

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Carrie Moore, the Kathy Delaney-Smith Head Coach for Harvard Women's Basketball, was one of 10 coaches named to the midseason watch list for the 2025 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award, Her Hoop Stats announced yesterday.

In her three seasons with the Crimson, Moore has brought Harvard back into the national spotlight as it has been recognized as one of the top programs in mid-major and one of top defensive teams in the nation this season.

Harvard has had a historic start to the season, sitting with a record of 14-2, having defeated three power conference opponents and continuing to receive votes in the AP Top 25 poll.  The Crimson currently rank at the top of several statistical categories, including ranking as the third best scoring defense in the country by holding opponents to 51.9 points per game.

Most recently, Moore collected her 50th win at the helm of the Crimson becoming the fastest coach in program history to reach the mark.

The award is named after Harvard's legendary head coach of 40 years, Kathy Delaney-Smith, who is the winningest coach in program and Ivy League history.
