SPARKS, Md. – Harvard men's lacrosse was represented at the Team USA training camp this past weekend by 2025 graduate and former All-American,
Sam King. The second time in the past month King was chosen by a USA Lacrosse program, King joined 41 other players from the United States at the camp which signifies the unofficial start of the run-up to the 2027 World Lacrosse Championships. An attack out of The Gilman School and Looney's Lacrosse in Baltimore, King competed against the nation's top talent as he begins to make his mark to secure a spot on the National team for the tournament in two years.
Recently selected for the Team USA Super Sixes squad, King score six goals and dished out five assists for Team USA, helping his team take second place in the tournament. That event was the second major lead-up tournament that serve as the precursors for the 2028 Olympics and the Sixes World Championships next year.
King graduated from Harvard in 2025 after a historic career with the Crimson. His long list of accomplishments includes four All-Ivy honors, two All-America team selections – including a spot on the First Team in 2025, marking the first time in 63 years a Harvard student-athlete earned the top honor – and the 2025 NEILA New England Player of the Year award. King was also selected as a Tewaaraton Award Finalist in 2025, becoming the first Harvard student-athlete to earn that distinction.
After leading the Crimson to the Ivy League and NCAA Tournaments, King was selected by the Utah Archers in the PLL College Draft and competed in his first professional season this past summer. King broke out in his rookie campaign, recording 13 goals and 10 assists for 24 total points, and was selected to compete in the 2025 PLL All-Star Game as one of only seven rookies to earn the honor.
