Men’s Basketball Meets Boston University Saturday in Hall of Fame Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Basketball meets Boston University on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1:30 p.m. (NESN NATION) in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with the Crimson bringing a 4-2 record into the contest, coming off a narrow 84-80 setback at Big Ten member Penn State on Wednesday night. 

What to Know

  • As part of a game that saw 11 lead changes and eight ties, senior guard Chandler Piggé tallied a team-high 21 points and career-high nine assists, junior forward Thomas Batties II posted a season-high 17 points and career-high five made 3-pointers, and sophomore guard Ben Eisendrath scored a career-high 15 points as Harvard nearly knocked off Big Ten member Penn State in a narrow 84-80 setback on Nov. 19.

  • Senior guard Chandler Piggé has posted 16.7 points, 4.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game to open the year, while shooting 50.7 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from 3-point distance. He ranks first in the Ivy League in total points (100), first in field goals made (35), first in minutes per game (33.7), second in assists per game (4.5), second in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.0), fourth in steals per game (1.7), sixth in 3-pointers made (10), sixth in free throws made (20), and seventh in points per game (16.7). He has scored in double figures in all six games to open the year. Piggé totaled 23 points and six assists, while shooting 8-of-11 from the floor vs. UNH (Nov. 9). He dropped 21 points with a career-high nine assists at Penn State (Nov. 19). He registered 14 points against both Army (Nov. 15) and Marist (Nov. 16), connecting on a game-tying 3-pointer with 35.8 seconds left against the Red Foxes. He netted 15 points vs. Northeastern (Nov. 11) and posted 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists against MIT (Nov. 7). Piggé – an Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection and CSC Academic All-District honoree last season – notched 13.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game in 2024-25. He has steadily increased his production over his career, averaging 1.9 points per game in 2022-23, 8.1 points per game in 2023-24, and 13.1 points per game in 2024-25.
  • Sophomore guard Robert Hinton has averaged 11.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game to open the year, while shooting 85.7 percent on free throws. Hinton ranks fourth in free throws made (24), fourth in minutes per game (30.0), 10th in total points (68), and ninth in field goals made (21). He dropped 22 points on 9-of-16 field goals and 4-of-4 free throws vs. UNH (Nov. 9) and notched 16 points, six rebounds, and three assists at Army (Nov. 15). He netted 13 points, including the go-ahead free throws with 5.1 seconds left at Marist (Nov. 16). Hinton – the 2024-25 Ivy League Rookie of the Year – averaged 14.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 2024-25.
  • Sophomore guard Tey Barbour has registered 11.5 points and a team-high 5.7 rebounds per game on the year, while shooting 45.5 percent from 3-point distance. Barbour ranks first in the Ivy League in 3-pointers made (15), third in minutes per game (30.3), fourth in 3-pointers made per game (2.5), eighth in free throws made (14), ninth in points (69), 10th in 3-point percentage (45.5), and 11th in rebounds per game (5.7). He has scored in double figures in five of six games to open the year. He posted 14 points, six rebounds, and a career-high four made 3-pointers vs. UNH (Nov. 9) before netting 12 points on four 3-pointers vs. Northeastern (Nov. 11). He compiled 12 points and seven rebounds at Penn State (Nov. 19). Barbour netted 12 points and made a career-high four 3-pointers in the season opener vs. MIT (Nov. 7). Barbour notched 4.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game on the year in 2024-25.
  • Junior forward Thomas Batties II has registered 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game to open the year, while shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 68.4 percent from 3-point distance. He ranks first in the Ivy League in 3-point percentage (68.4), second in 3-pointers made (13), sixth in blocks per game (1.2), eighth in points (71), and eighth in field goals made (23). He tallied a season-high 17 points, career-high five made 3-pointers, and a career-high six assists at Penn State (Nov. 19). Batties II scored a game-high 17 points against both MIT (Nov. 7) and Army (Nov. 15). He posted 12 points and five rebounds vs. UNH (Nov. 9). In 2024-25, Batties II averaged 11.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game on the year after registering 6.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game on the 2023-24 season.
  • Sophomore guard Ben Eisendrath has notched 7.0 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.8steals per game on the year, while shooting 65.0 percent from the field. Eisendrath ranks second in the Ivy League in steals per game (1.8). He scored a career-high 15 points on 6-of-7 field goals at Penn State (Nov. 19). He posted eight points and three assists vs. Northeastern (Nov. 11) before notching six points and four steals at Army (Nov. 15).
  • Sophomore guard Austin Hunt has tallied 7.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game on the year, while shooting 57.1 percent from the field. He notched 13 points, six rebounds, and three assists vs. UNH (Nov. 9). Hunt averaged 7.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 2024-25. He scored in double figures seven times a season ago.
  • Playing on the second night of a back-to-back, senior guard Chandler Piggé scored a team-high 14 points, including a game-tying 3-pointer with 35.8 seconds left, and sophomore guard Robert Hinton made the go-ahead free throws with 5.1 seconds to go as Harvard topped Marist University, 56-54, on Nov. 16 at McCann Arena to complete a weekend sweep.
  • In the Crimson's first road contest of the year, junior forward Thomas Batties II scored a game-high 17 points, sophomore guard Robert Hinton netted 16 points, and senior guard Chandler Piggé posted 14 points as Harvard defeated Army West Point, 75-52, on Nov. 15 at Christl Arena.
  • Harvard leads the all-time series with Boston University, 37-28. The Crimson has taken the last eight meetings in the series. The two teams last met in the 2017-18 season.
