CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football quarterback
Jaden Craig has been named the 2025 Harry Agganis/Harold Zimman Award for the Outstanding Player in New England, the New England Football Writers announced today. The honor is presented annually to the most outstanding player in New England regardless of division.
A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Craig is the first Harvard player to capture the award since Josue Ortiz in 2011, and the fifth overall. In addition to Ortiz and Craig, Bobby Leo (1966), Pat McInally (1974) and Carl Morris (2002) were previous recipients of the prestigious honor.
With Craig under center, the Crimson captured its third straight Ivy League championship and the 20
th in program history, all while earning a top-10 national ranking for several weeks during the 2025 regular season. In 10 games, Craig has thrown for 2,762 yards and 24 touchdowns, while rushing for three more scores. Earlier this season, Craig became Harvard's career passing TD leader and on Saturday became the program's all-time leader in passing yards.
Craig will be recognized at the New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel and Conference Center.
