CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football first-year
Ryan Tattersall has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week. The wide receiver is the first Crimson player this season to earn rookie weekly accolades and is the first Harvard first-year to be recognized since
Xaviah Bascon in 2023.
Â
Hailing from Wilmington, Delaware, Tattersall had five receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns at No. 25 Yale. His two-TD afternoon was his first multi-touchdown performance of the season and doubled his touchdown output entering the game (1 at Stetson). His five catches and 92 yards, meanwhile, were both career highs.
Â
Tattersall and his Harvard teammates now turn their focus to the postseason where 12
th-seeded and No. 6/9 (coaches/media) Villanova awaits. The Crimson, which earned an at-large berth to the FCS Playoffs, will meet the Wildcats on the gridiron on Saturday at noon ET in a game that will air on ESPN+.
Â
Harvard finished its regular season with a 9-1 record (6-1 Ivy League) and captured its third straight Ivy League championship. The Crimson enter this week's NCAA FCS first-round game ranked No. 15 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and No. 19 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll.
