Women’s Volleyball Defeated by Yale, 3-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's volleyball (5–14, 4–7 Ivy) dropped its first match of the weekend, falling to Yale (11–8, 7–4 Ivy), 3-0.

How it Happened
Yale jumped out to an early lead in the opening set, using strong serving and a balanced attack to take control. Brynne Faltinsky and Ali Farquhar recorded early kills for the Crimson, but the Bulldogs' efficiency on the court helped them pull away late to claim the first set, 25–15.

Harvard settled in offensively in the second set, trading points with Yale through eight ties. Faltinsky led the charge with several key kills, while Taylor Larkin and Ryleigh Patterson added timely back-to-back blocks to keep the Crimson within striking distance. Even with Yale at set point, Harvard recorded consecutive kills to keep the frame alive. Despite Harvard's late push, the Bulldogs secured a 25–21 win.

In the third and final set, Harvard continued to show resilience, highlighted by strong setting from Sophia Wei and solid defensive play from Hannah Nguyen and Yvette Easton. Faltinsky, Larkin, and Patterson each recorded key kills, but Yale maintained its rhythm down the stretch to close out the set, 25–16 and complete the sweep.
