Skylar Sheppard tallied a pair of top-10 finishes on the weekend in women's alpine, and senior
Quincy Donley notched a pair of top-20 efforts in women's nordic over the two-day event as Harvard University skiing wrapped up day two of the Dartmouth Carnival on Saturday.

In alpine action at the Dartmouth Skiway, Sheppard closed the weekend with a 10
th-place finish in giant slalom, one day after recording a seventh-place showing in slalom. Sheppard posted the fastest time in run one of the women's slalom on Friday, becoming the first Harvard skier to do so since Rebecca Nadler '14. Sheppard has posted seven straight top-20 finishes and three straight top-10 efforts. She improved her standing in the NCAA rankings with a season-best finish in the giant slalom. Harvard persevered through soft snow conditions on the weekend.

In nordic competition at Oak Hill, Donley closed her weekend with an 18
th-place finish in the 20k freestyle after registering a 10
th-place finish in the 7.5k classic on Friday. Donley has posted five straight top-20 finishes.

As a team, Harvard placed 10
th out of 14 EISA schools with 301 points.Â
Harvard Highlights: Alpine Day 2
- First-year Skylar Sheppard posted a 10th-place finish in women's giant slalom behind a time of 2:01.67 (1:00.36 run one, 1:01.31 run two) for 30 EISA points and 26 NCAA points, improving her standing in the NCAA rankings with a season-best performance in giant slalom. She tallied her seventh straight top-20 finish overall and third straight top-10 effort. Sheppard moved up in the race standings with a 10th-place in run two.
- Junior Luke Kearing notched a 25th-place finish in giant slalom – a season best in the event – and registered his second top-30 of the season. He clocked a 1:58.88 (58.96 run one, 59.92 run two) for 18 EISA points and six NCAA points.
- First-year Emma Lenoël Quang added a season best in giant slalom behind a 35th-place finish (2:03.87, 1:01.09 run one, 1:02.78 run two, 13 EISA points).
- Among the Crimson's other competitors, first-year Duncan Armstrong lost a ski on his first run while senior Matt Ryan broke a binding on his second run.
- Harvard assistant coach Cameron Ciccone set the day's first run.
- Tight racing characterized the first run of men's giant slalom with just 2.68 seconds separating skiers one through 60.
Harvard Highlights: Nordic Day 2
- Senior Quincy Donley came in 18th place in the women's 20k freestyle behind a time of 53:38.1 for 24 EISA points and 13 NCAA points. She notched her sixth top-20 finish of the year and her fifth straight top-20 effort.
- Senior Tali Wong came in 30th in the women's 20k freestyle in 55:46.4 for 18 EISA points and two NCAA points, registering her second top-30 showing of the season, while sophomores Breagh Bridge and Clara Lake placed 38th (56:26.1, 12 EISA points) and 42nd (57:13.6) respectively.
- First-year Bennett Hutchison notched a 23rd-place finish in the men's 20k freestyle behind a time of 48:46.30 for 20 EISA points and nine NCAA points. He posted his second top-30 effort of the season.
- The Crimson's women's contingent came in sixth as a team in the 20k freestyle behind 54 points.Â
Harvard Highlights: Alpine Day 1
- First-year Skylar Sheppard led the Crimson with a seventh-place finish in women's slalom, including posting the fastest time in the first run – becoming the first Harvard skier to do so since Rebecca Nadler '14. Sheppard tallied her sixth straight top-20 finish and third straight top-eight effort in slalom. Over her last three slalom races, she has placed eighth, sixth, and seventh in order. She finished with a combined time of 1:41.58 (49.37 run one, 52.21 run two) for 35 EISA points and 36 NCAA points.
- Friday's slalom course featured a brand new trail in anticipation of the NCAA Championships at Dartmouth in March. Sheppard drew bib number one, becoming the first athlete to compete on the trail.
- Senior Matt Ryan placed 18th in men's slalom, matching his season-best finish. He has posted back-to-back 18th-place efforts in slalom and notched his fourth top-30 finish of the season. Ryan recorded a time of 1:36.34 (48.24 run one, 48.10 run two), registered the 13th-best time in run two, and collected 22 EISA points and 13 NCAA points.
- Harvard's women's alpine contingent placed in sixth as a team in women's slalom. Officials moved the slalom event to day one of the carnival due to weather conditions.
- A driving blizzard paused the racing during competition with action resuming following the passing of the squall.Â
Harvard Highlights: Nordic Day 1
- Senior Quincy Donley matched her season best with a 10th-place finish in the women's 7.5k classic, posting her fifth top-20 finish of the season. She came in with a time of 25:41.70 for 31 EISA points and 26 NCAA points.
- Sophomore Clara Lake followed Donley with a 34th-place showing in the women's 7.5k classic behind a time of 27:08.40 for 18 EISA points.Â
