VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Harvard track & field stood out on the opening day of the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships, as six Crimson garnered All-America First Team status with top-eight finishes at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex.
Senior
Izzy Goudros earned All-America First Team honors in the pentathlon, as fellow classmate
Kenneth Ikeji did the same in the men's weight throw. Seniors

Chloe Fair,
Ellaney Matarese and junior
Penelope Salmon finished in seventh in a thrilling distance medley relay, as the quartet earned All-America First Team honors.
In her third appearance in the pentathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships, Goudros didn't disappoint, finishing in sixth place with 4305 points. Several season and personal-best performance highlighted Goudros' showing at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships. After kicking-off the day with a 8.57 in the 60m hurdles, Goudros cleared 1.69m (5'6.5") in the high jump, a new personal-best.
The shot put saw Goudros find even more success, as the Toronto, Ontario native hit 11.65m (38'2.75"), a new season-best. The school record holder in the long jump, Goudros tallied major points in the event at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, leaping to a mark of 6.18m (20'3.5"), which ranked third-best among all pentathlon participants.
Goudros wrapped her pentathlon run with the 800m, ending the event with 4305 points after running a 2:13.25 in the 800m, taking sixth place in the process. After earning All-America Second Team honors in the pentathlon at the 2022 and 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships, Goudros garners All-America First Team status for the first time in her Crimson career.
Two Crimson punched their tickets to tomorrow's women's 800m final with top-three finishes in their respective semifinal heats. Running in the first heat, senior
Victoria Bossong was superb, winning the section with a time of 2:00.82, the fastest mark in the semifinals. An All-America Second Team selection in the indoor 800m last year, sophomore
Sophia Gorriaran orchestrated a spirited effort to take one of the automatic qualifying spots, finishing in third with a time 2:01.43.
Harvard is the only school at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships to have multiple representatives in the women's 800m final.
The women's distance medley relay was a thriller at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Mihas, Matarese, Fair and Salmon combined for a time of 11:02.26, finishing in seventh for All-America First Team recognition. With the Crimson in a hotly contested battle for the top-eight spots between Washington and North Carolina, Salmon was sensational in the anchor leg, lifting the Crimson to seventh place with a mile split of 4:32.23.
Entering the competition as the defending NCAA men's weight throw national champion, Ikeji picked up a spot on the All-America First Team for a second consecutive season, placing sixth with a throw of 24.02m (78'9.75"). A two-time NCAA national champion, Ikeji's throw at the NCAA Indoor Championships represents a season's best for the London, England native.
