MORAGA, Calif. – Harvard softball leaves California with a 4-0 record on the weekend, utilizing stellar hitting and pitching displays to take down Weber State and Saint Mary's at Cottrell Field.
A career-day from senior infielder

In the 5-4 win against Saint Mary's, Kaul was once against successful at the plate, as the senior recorded her second home run of the season in the second inning. A varied Crimson approach at the plate led to more success, as five different Harvard student-athletes drove in a run in the Crimson's fourth-straight win.
HOW IT HAPPENED IN GAME ONE:
The first inning saw Harvard (9-4, 0-0 Ivy League) waste no time against Weber State (8-18, 0-0 Big Sky), as the Crimson jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. With one out, senior outfielder

After Weber State pulled a run back in the fifth, Harvard answered immediately in its own half of the frame, as junior infielder
Finley Payne launched a solo home run to deep right field for her first homer of the year to restore the Crimson's six-run advantage. A native of Liberty Township, Ohio, Payne now has five home runs in her Crimson career, hitting a pair last season.
In the sixth and seventh innings, Weber State tagged on four runs, as the Crimson shut the door in the seventh to secure the win, 7-5. Harvard collected nine hits, led by Sun with three hits. Kaul set a new single-game career-high in RBIs with four. Junior pitcher
