Women’s Golf Set for 2025 Ivy League Championship

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With the 2024-25 Harvard women's golf season now in the rear-view, the team has shifted its focus to the Ivy League Championship Tournament which is set to take place this weekend (Apr. 18-20) at the Royal Palms Golf Club. The Crimson will travel to Naples, Fla. to compete against the other five Ivy League squads for the right to represent the league at the NCAA Tournament next month.

Notes and Storylines
  • The Crimson – The eight-time Ivy League Champions – will travel to Florida to compete in the conference tournament.
  • Harvard is seeking its first Ivy Championship Trophy since the 2018-19 season.
  • The team finished in fourth place at last year's championship tournament and in second place at the 2022-23 tournament.
  • Juniors Bridget Ma and Iris Wang come into the tournament as the only two members of the team with Ivy League Tournament experience.
  • The duo both has a top 10 finish at the Ivy League Championships, with Ma's coming a year ago in 2023-24 (T2) and Wang's coming at the 22-23 tournament (T7).
  • Harvard comes into the tournament with the third-highest team ranking in the Ivy League at 127. Princeton (64) and Yale (124) are the only teams in front of the Crimson.
  • First-year Vanessa Zhang hold the highest individual ranking on the team after coming in at the No. 265 spot. She has the third-highest ranking in the Ivy League.
  • Harvard has four golfers ranked in the top 750 of the Clippd Individual rankings, which is tied for the most in the Ivy League with Princeton.
  • Zhang, Lucy Yuan (627), Iris Wang (654), and Michelle Liu (749) make up the group of four in the top 750 for Harvard.
  • As a team, the Crimson posted three second place finishes in a total of six tournament played this season.
  • Harvard averaged a team score of 300.0 in tournament play.
  • Zhang leads the team with a scoring average of 73.1 on the season.
  • Lucy Yuan (75.3), Iris Wang (75.4) and Michelle Liu (76.2) make up the top four scoring averages on the Crimson squad.
  • A Canada native, Zhang has posted six top 10 finishes in seven tournaments this season.
  • Her best results of the year were a pair of second place finishes at the Patriot Invitational (Mar. 17-18) and the Terrapin Invitational (Apr. 6-7).
  • Iris Wang has had two top 10 results this season at the Nittany Lion Invitational (Sep. 14-15) and the Patriot Invitational (Mar. 17-18).
  • First-year Lucy Yuan owns two top 15 finishes on the season at the Nittany Lion Invitational (Sep. 14-15) and the Princeton Invitational (Sep. 28-29).
