PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Harvard track & field started the weekend in the Keystone State, earning impressive results on the opening day of the 2025 Penn Relays.

HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS:

• The Crimson started its time in the Keystone State with the throws. In the women's hammer throw, sophomore Emilia Kolokotroni finished in third place with an attempt of 62.50m (205'1"). Along with Kolokotroni's podium finish, senior Cara Salsberry took 12^th, posting a throw of 54.09m (177'5").
• In the men's hammer throw, senior Kenneth Ikeji took home his third first place finish at the Penn Relays in his career, doing so with a throw of 71.91m (235'11").
• Over on the track, senior and team captain Marianne Mihas finished in 25^th place in the women's 1500m, finishing the race in 4:20.84. Sophomore Samira Kennedy also ran the 1500m, placing 40^th with a time of 4:25.98.
• The men's 5000m saw sophomore Charlie Ortmans lead the way, finishing in sixth place with a personal-best time of 13:38.45, as he moves up to No. 3 on the Harvard all-time performance list. First-year Solomon Kwartowitz recorded a time of 14:28.28 to take 48^th place.
•  The evening at Franklin Field ended with the women's 10,000m, as senior Zoe Cooper excelled, crossing the finish line in 34:14.44 to place fifth.
