Fowle Trophy/NEISA Team Racing Championship | Cambridge, Mass.
The cold and persistent precipitation in Cambridge was a nuisance, but sailors were able to get 23 races in with the Fowle Trophy up for grabs. Harvard went with
Justin Callahan-
Kennedy Leehealey,
Mitchell Callahan-
Rosella Irfan, and
Robby Meek-
Christina Chen this past weekend in its attempt to lift the Fowle Trophy for the first time since 2005.
The Crimson finished Saturday with a dominant performance, going 10-1 on the day. Harvard opened with five straight victories (Dartmouth, Boston University, Bowdoin, Rhode Island, Roger Williams) before finding itself on the short end of Boston College's 1-2-5 showing. The misstep, however, did not slow down the hosts as they rattled off five more wins (U.S. Coast Guard, Brown, Yale, Tufts, MIT), including 1-2-3 efforts in their last three races. Heading into Sunday, the Crimson was tied with Yale atop the leaderboard.
On Day 2, Harvard began by sweeping second-round action, dispatching Brown, MIT, BC, Dartmouth, Tufts, RWU and Yale to improve its record to 17-1. The Crimson, however, could not shake the Bulldogs free as Yale entered Round 3 with a 16-2 mark.
During the final round, Harvard enjoyed a promising start, taking down the Big Green, 1-2-3, but went 1-2 in its next three outings, falling to Brown (1-5-6), defeating BC (2-3-4) and dropping a 3-5-6 decision to Roger Williams. Harvard and Yale were matched in the final race of the day, with the winner claiming the Fowle Trophy as both were 19-3 entering the finale. The Bulldogs ultimately got the best of the Crimson, finishing 1-2-4 to take the regatta.
Yale Women's Team Race | New Haven, Conn.
Cold and rainy conditions made their mark in The Constitution State, limiting sailors to 10 races or fewer in the eight-team field. The Crimson was represented by skippers
Cordelia Burn,

Margo Silliman,
Peyton Hadfield,

Harvard won three of its first four races, taking down Navy (1-2-3), Bowdoin (1-2-4) and Dartmouth (2-3-4), with the only blemish coming in Race 2 against Brown where it finished 2-4-6. The Crimson suffered a 2-4-6 defeat to Yale before answering with victories over Roger Williams (1-2-3) and Old Dominion (2-3-4).
With its 5-2 Round-1 performance, Harvard sailed in the Final 4, and went 2-1 in the process. The Crimson fell to Yale (4-5-6) in the first race, but responded with a 2-3-4 finish against Brown and a convincing 1-2-3 showing vs. Dartmouth to end its time in New Haven.
When the water settled, Harvard posted a 7-3 record to end in a second-place tie with Brown. The Bulldogs won the regatta with a 9-1 mark.
