WATCH: Women’s Tennis 2024-25 Season Recap

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis reached historic heights on the court for the second straight year as it dominated Ivy League play in the 2024-25 season.

Beginning in the fall, the Crimson saw its eighth ever duo qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships.  Sophomores Stephanie Yakoff and Kavya Karra advanced, becoming the first Harvard doubles team to compete for a national title since 2006 after going an impressive 6-0 at the ITA New England Regionals.

The Crimson went 8-8 in nonconference play as it faced strong foes and competed at the ITA Kickoff Weekend and ECAC Tournament.

Harvard hit its stride in Ivy League action as it started 3-0 with a gritty win over Dartmouth, its first victory over Princeton since 2017, and a dominant sweep of Penn.

The Crimson continued to look strong defeating Brown and No. 63 Yale to remain as the only unbeaten Ivy League team and ultimately clinch its first Ivy League title since 2017.

To close the regular season, Harvard hit the road and dropped No. 69 Columbia and Cornell to complete an undefeated Ivy season for the first time since 2006.

At the end of the regular season, the Crimson were well represented in the Ivy League year-end honors.  Holly Fischer led the way, earning Unanimous First-Team All-Ivy for singles and joining Stephanie Yakoff on First-Team All-Ivy for doubles.  Yakoff also picked up Second Team All-Ivy honors for singles.  Maxi Duncan and Charlotte Owensby were named Honorable Mention All-Ivy for singles, while Duncan and Kavya Karra earned Honorable Mention for doubles.  Harvard's coaching staff closed out the team honors as they were named Ivy League Coaching Staff of the Year.

After earning the conference automatic bid the Crimson returned to the postseason once again, earning a spot in the Nashville Regional.  In a thrilling opening round battle with No. 17 nationally ranked UCLA, Harvard fought Harvard before their historic season came to a close.

As the season ends, Harvard bids farewell to four impactful seniors: Rachel Arbitman, Maxi Duncan, Holly Fischer, and Angel You.  The Class of 2025 leaves behind a legacy of passion, leadership, and success, helping the Crimson each new heights and setting the stage for an even brighter future.
