CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Before they head to Cambridge to begin their collegiate careers, four incoming first-years for Harvard men's lacrosse were on the field competing in high school All-America games. The group of
Brock Getson,
Quinn Kelly,
Harry Luong and
Liam O'Keefe were each selected to at least one of the three major High School All-America Games, joining some of the best recruits in the country on the field.
Getson, a LSM out of The Lawrenceville School and Mad Dog National, and Kelly, a defenseman out of Christian Brothers Academy and Leading Edge were both featured in two of the games, the Nike Lacrosse National Senior All-American Game back in June and the New Balance All-America Senior Game that occurred this past weekend. O'Keefe, a goalkeeper from the Loomis Chaffee School and the NH Tomahawks, joined the team at the New Balance event this past weekend.
In the National Senior All-Star game, Kelly and the Nationals took down Getson and the Americans in a narrow 16-14 victory.
O'Keefe and Kelly teamed up on the North side in the New Balance All-America Game to take down the South in a 20-14 victory. O'Keefe was in the cage for the second half to help seal the win for his squad.
HLX was also represented by Luong at the Adrenaline Lacrosse All-American Futures game that also occurred this past weekend. The Valor Christian and 3D Colorado product had an excellent showing in the game, going 11-3 at the faceoff X and scoring a goal for his South team.
