CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Five incoming first-years from the Harvard men's lacrosse Class of 2030 have been in action this summer, competing across all three major high school lacrosse All-American games.
The highly touted group received invitations to cap off their remarkable high school careers on the national stage. Michael Brennan (LSM, Voorhees, N.J.) and Brian Burke (LSM, Westwood, Mass.) competed in both the New Balance All-America Senior Game and the Nike Lacrosse Senior All-Star Game. Jay Cohn (attack, Cary, N.C.) and Cooper Brozek (attack, Toronto, Ont.) joined the duo at the New Balance event, while Tate Sedlachek (attack, Oakland, Calif.) represented the Crimson at the Adrenaline Lacrosse All-American Game.
Two of the top three long-stick midfielders in the class, Brennan and Burke both delivered excellent performances for the North team at the New Balance All-America Senior Game. Brennan, currently ranked as the No. 25 prospect in the class by Inside Lacrosse, turned heads at Johnny Unitas Stadium on the campus of Towson University. He finished with two points, recording a goal and an assist as an LSM, while also playing standout defense and collecting multiple ground balls.
His future teammate Burke, ranked as the No. 17 prospect in the class by Inside Lacrosse, also scooped up multiple ground balls and contributed to the North's defensive effort in its 13-7 victory.
Future Crimson attackmen Brozek and Cohn teamed up for the South, going head-to-head with their future Harvard teammates. The duo combined for three goals in the contest. Cohn scored twice, making him the South's only multi-point performer of the game.
Sedlachek, another future Crimson attackman, earned All-America recognition from Adrenaline Lacrosse and competed for the North team. The Marin Catholic graduate delivered a key assist in the fourth quarter before helping set up the final goal with a screen behind the cage, contributing to the North's victory.
These five players are part of Harvard men's lacrosse's 11-member incoming first-year class. Ranked sixth nationally by Inside Lacrosse, the group features two five-star, five four-star and three three-star recruits. It is one of the highest-ranked recruiting classes in program history, with five incoming first-years ranked among the top 100 players in the class.
