CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving's
David Greeley,
David Schmitt and
Raphael Tourette have been elected team captains for the 2025-26 campaign. The trio follows in the footsteps of
Jonathan Novinski and
Anthony Rincon, who both captained last season's squad.
A native of Durham, North Carolina, Greeley enters his senior year coming off an NCAA Championships appearance. The rising senior competed in the 200, 400 and 800 free relays at the national meet and was later named a 2025 CSCAA Scholar All-America First-Team selection.
Schmitt, who hails from San Juan Capistrano, California, set the school record last season in the 200 fly and later went on to compete in the event at the NCAA Championships. The rising junior also swam in the 100 fly and 800 free relay at NCAAs. Similar to Greeley, Schmitt landed on the 2025 CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team.
Tourette, meanwhile, is a diver from Cupertino, California, who has made three straight NCAA Zone A Diving Championship appearances. The rising senior enters 2025-26 ranked second in program history in three-meter diving and sixth on the one-meter board.
Harvard last season found itself nationally ranked three times and had three of its relays (200 free, 400 free, 800 free) earn NCAA Championship berths, with Schmitt competing in three individual events of his own. Looking ahead to 2025-26, the Crimson appears to be set to compete with some of the best in Division I, as it is scheduled to return all of its NCAA participants (Schmitt,
Sonny Wang,
Marre Gattnar, Greeley,
Evan Croley) along with a talented group of letterwinners.
