CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's volleyball has once again been recognized nationally for its academic excellence, earning the inaugural
AVCA Team Academic Championship for the 2024–25 academic year, as announced this week by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). The Crimson also extended their streak of consecutive
AVCA Team Academic Awards to 14 seasons, the longest active run in the men's collegiate division.
To be eligible for the AVCA Team Academic Award, programs must maintain a year-long grade-point average (GPA) of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Harvard met the mark once again, while also securing a place on the
Team Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes programs in the top 20 percent of
GPAs across their division.
Harvard was one of just four NCAA Division I men's volleyball programs to earn Honor Roll distinction in 2024–25, joining
NJIT, Pepperdine, and American.
