CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore goaltender
Ben Charette has been named to the ECAC Hockey Preseason All-League Team, the conference announced today.
Poised to take over as Harvard's starting netminder this season, Charette earned ECAC All-Rookie Team honors a year ago.
He led all ECAC goaltenders with at least 10 games played in save percentage, posting a .926 mark in 10 conference contests. Charette recorded his first career shutout with a 31-save effort against St. Lawrence in December and averaged 28 saves per game in his debut season in Cambridge. He finished the year with a 2.25 goals-against average and three wins, becoming the first Crimson goaltender to make the All-Rookie Team since Mitchell Gibson in 2019-20.
Charette was also named to the Mike Richter Award Watch List last January. He made his collegiate debut in a non-conference matchup against Notre Dame at the Friendship Four before starting the next six games for the Crimson.
