CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the fourth consecutive season, the Harvard men's lacrosse team is set to compete in the annual Burrito Bowl scrimmage. The program is thrilled to once again join forces with Team IMPACT to host the event that will raise money for the charity in support of its mission of inclusion. The second event in the Crimson's fall experience will see the team battle it out in the Crimson vs. White scrimmage on Cumnoch Field this Saturday (Sep. 27) at 11:00 AM.
Fans are welcome to come out to enjoy the completely free event this weekend. Attendees will get to see the Crimson compete in the scrimmage, head out onto the field for photos and autographs with the team after the game and receive limited edition HLX stickers and giveaways.
Gerry Byrne, the Frisbie Family Head Coach for Harvard Men's Lacrosse, began the annual Burrito Bowl tradition in 2021 along with his staff. Since the inaugural game, the program has expanded the event into a yearly showcase of the Crimson lacrosse team and now in 2024, will once again invite Team IMPACT into the mix to help showcase the organization's mission and purpose.
The Crimson began working with Team IMPACT in 2021 and has continued to advocate for the non-profit over the past several seasons. In 2023, Harvard lacrosse raised over $33,000 for the organization in just five days leading up to the event.
