SPARKS, Md. – After a stellar rookie season in the Premier Lacrosse League,
Sam King '25, has been named to the USA Men's Sixes National Team. King joins a field of 24 players who were selected by the program and who will compete for a spot on the USA roster for the Olympics in 2028. A 2025 Tewaaraton Finalist and graduate of Harvard, King will join the 12 players who will be competing in the World Lacrosse Super Sixes Tournament in Ontario, Canada in mid-October.
The 24-man group recently completed its three-day training camp at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md. and will now move into international competition at the Atlas Cup.
The 24 players, which includes all four finalists for this year's Premier Lacrosse League MVP Award, into two equal squads for the competitions as the U.S. program continues to build towards the 2028 LA Olympics that will utilize the sixes discipline of lacrosse.
This will be the first training opportunity for the U.S. men's sixes program since last fall's USA Lacrosse Experience in Indianapolis where Shay led the U.S. team to victories over Colombia, Great Britain and Puerto Rico.

King joins three of his former Harvard lacrosse teammates –
Jack Speidell,
Jared Maznik and
Wyatt Wiggins – who recently completed play on the international circuit. The trio competed in the World Lacrosse U20 National Championships in South Korea this past Summer as Maznik and Wiggins helped lead Team Canada to a historic Gold Medal Victory.
